ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Mr. Joseph Otieno

Lead Counselor Psychologist, Insight Glow Wellness Consultancy

Joseph is a God-fearing Counseling Psychologist with over 17 years of experience in psychological counseling and therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from PAC University and is registered and licensed as a Counselor Psychologist with the Counselors and Psychologists- C&P Board. He is an accredited counselor and a member of the Kenya Counselors and Psychologist Association (KCPA), as well as a member of Art and Play Therapy Kenya (ATPK). He is also a Certified Professional Mediator, trained through the Mediation Training Institute (MTI) and the Boma Training Institute (BTI).

Joseph is the Lead Counselor Psychologist at Insight Glow Wellness Consultancy, through which he offers professional counseling, mediation, and organizational wellness services to individuals, families, and institutions.

Professional Experience

For 19 years, Joseph served at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), attached to the Directorate of Legal Services, where he provided preventive, sustainable, supportive, and curative psychological counseling services, helping commission members navigate a wide range of social and emotional concerns.

Beyond this role, Joseph has provided specialized consultancy services to a number of organizations, including:

Peace Brigades International (PBI) – debriefing, group counseling, and individual therapy support for its community.
National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) – training and support in psychological preparedness for retirement.
INUKA Ni Sisi Organization – a mental health assessment with a tailored wellness plan for the organization.
